The University of Algiers 2 Abou El Kacem Saâdallah proceeded on December 15th, 2020 at the Grand Auditorium to the opening of 2020-2021 academic year, with the presence of the University officials and Local and Security Bodies representatives, as well as a number of teachers and new students, while respecting the health protocol against corona virus’ spread.

The official opening of the academic year started by the University Rector’s address, Pr. Said Boumaiza, through which he welcomed the presents and spoke about the special circumstances that have known the University, due to Covid-19 and the challenges that this last imposed.  

Furthermore, the Rector announced the reception of 4000 pedagogical places for the benefit of Arabic Language and Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Faculties. He ended his address while hoping success to all.

On his side, M. Djamel Eddine Hashas, the Delegate Wali of Bouzaréah Circumscription, , evoked in his address the exceptional conditions that characterised this year university’s beginning, as well as the preventing dispositions taken to prevent Covid-19 spread.

The ceremony programme consisted on two conferences; the first was about e-learning teaching and the second about university ethics and deontology, followed by the broadcast of Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister’s address, Pr. Abdelbaki Benziane, to the university community on the occasion of 2020-2021 academic year official opening, as well as the pedagogical activities start in face-to-face in the whole higher education institutions.
