The Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sporting Activities of Algiers 2 University, in coordination with the Faculty of Human Sciences, commemorated the Knowledge Day through a rich and varied programme. The event took place on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 in the grand auditorium.
The activity was initiated by the University Rector, Pr. Said Boumaiza, who pronounced his speech through which he called on students to work hard in order to develop thought and open up to languages, while mastering technology to move effectively and vigorously towards creativity according to the development needs of our country.
For his part, the Wali Delegate of the administrative district of Bouzaréah, Mr. Hashas Jamal Eddine, said that Algeria celebrates, in this occasion, the pioneering achievements accomplished in its university system, not to mention the progress in building and construction, as well as the objectives that our country has achieved since its independence.
The program of the event included a short film presentation on the scholar Abdelhamid Ibn Badis, then a lecture given by Ms. Saliha Alama on the Algerian Muslim Scholars Association, followed by a theatrical play and a quiz.
The activity ended by paying tribute to the participants and winners of the quiz, as well as to the students of the Faculty of Human Sciences who excelled in the first semester.
