The University of Algiers 2 Abou El Kacem Sâad Allah organised on November 4th, 2019, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Forests of the municipality of Bouzaréah the first afforestation campaign at the University. This initiative took place with the participation of officials, students and heads of the University, besides to the representatives of the General Directorate of Forests of the municipality of Bouzaréah who showed the right method of planting trees to the participants.
The operation is in the context of the big national afforestation campaign which aims especially to plant 43 million trees and multiply the green spaces at the University, for protecting the environment and participating to the ecological balance, and raising the students’ awareness of its importance.
