The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research General Secretary Mr Mohamed Sidiki supervised on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 the installation of Pr. Manaa Ammar as the new rector of Algiers 2 University, replacing Pr.Fatiha Zerdaoui in the Rectorate headquarters.
The Vice-rectors as well as the Faculty Deans and Institute Heads have attended the ceremony of installation of the new rector, during which the General Secretary of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry, Mr Mohamed Sidiki, made his speech and thanked Pr. Fatiha Zerdaoui for her efforts and achievements made during the last two years in managing the university. He added that this change is for the renewing and to give equal opportunities for all.
On her side, Pr. Fatiha Zerdaoui showed that she made great efforts in collaboration with her managing staff to improve the university level. Besides, she thanked everyone who helped her in this mission, and finished her speech by hoping success to the new rector.
The new university rector, Pr. Manaa Ammar, thanked, through his speech the Minister of Higher Education Pr. Bouzid Tayeb for the trust he placed on him, underlining his willingness to continue the work for the university progress and prosperity.
Pr. Manaa Ammar held various roles of responsibility in many universities, including: University of Bordj Bou Areridj ‘Mohamed Bachir El Ibtrahimi’, the University Centre in Tipaza ‘Abdellah Morsi’ and The Thematic Agency for the Research in Social and Human Sciences as a General Manager.
