The Rector of University of Algiers 2 Abou El Kacem Saâd Allah, Pr Said Boumaiza, held a meeting with the University Ethics and Deontology Council members on September 17th, 2020 in the Local Education Offices.
The meeting was opened by the Rector’s address, who thanking the Council members for their worthy undertaking in serving the university community, gave the floor to the University Ethics and Deontology Council President, Pr. Abdelaziz Laredj, who spoke about the implementation of the Council, its assignments and the meetings held with the University Ethics and Deontology Council Supervising Ministry.
On their part, the Council members mentioned ethics situation at the University, and showed their predisposition to enhance it in future.
Moreover, the Vice-rector in charge of Post Graduation and Scientific Research, Pr. Hadj Aifa, suggested the creation of a website devoted to the advices given by the Council to the university community and also to its complaints. In her part, Dr. Assia Kaced, the Vice-rector in charge of External Relations, laid stress on the site usefulness importance for the university community, in addition to Pr. Youcef Immoune, the Vice-rector in charge of Pedagogy, who tackled the pedagogical aspects of the issue which must change.
The meeting has been closed by the Rector who invited the Council members to work on improving the University situation, while insisting on his availability to collaborate in the change.
