A study day entitled “Towards a new strategy and practical mechanics for the care of the elderly person and reviving their statute in the family and society”

The laboratory of the Family, Development, Prevention from Deviance and Criminality organized on October 14th, 2021 at the grand auditorium of Bouzaréah, a study day entitled “Towards a new strategy and practical mechanics for the care of the elderly person and reviving their statute in the family and society”.

The study day has been opened by the Laboratory Head Pr. Sabah Ayachi, through which she welcomed the attendees, and presented the main lines which will be tackled during.

In his part, the Social Sciences Faculty Dean, Pr Nabil Bahri, valued the day’s theme, then he passed the floor to the Vice-rector in charge of Post graduation and Scientific Research, Pr. Salah Boumnir, who spoke about the importance of the elderly person care, he announced afterwards the study day works opening.   

The teachers’ communications which were divided into three sessions dealt with the multidisciplinary approaches regarding the elderly persons, their reality and the practical mechanics to care of them and to restore their statute within the family and the society.   

firthermore, the scientific posters deal with the importance of the organizations’ social partnership in supporting the politic of the elderly person care, the elderly poor home care and its relation to the domestic accidents, the role of the family sociologist in counselling the elderly families as well as the care of the person with Alzheimer’s disease, the mechanics of reviewing the elderly place in the family and his communication with his grandchildren.    

The study day ended with the recommendations of the participating teachers to whom certificates were distributed.
